Apprentice trophy design competition with FANUC

Project details
Why did we do this?
We created this project to give apprentices practical experience in applied engineering and manufacturing by involving them in a real-world design-to-production project.
About the project
The Enginuity Skills Awards celebrate the individuals and organisations shaping the future of UK engineering and manufacturing. Categories include apprentices, skills champions, and innovators across the sector.
As part of the Enginuity Skills Awards, MTC apprentices were invited to design the official award trophies, which were manufactured by FANUC UK. These trophies were presented live on stage during the black-tie ceremony, photographed and filmed throughout the evening, and used to promote future awards.
Project status
The competition was last held in 2025, and invited apprentices from across the UK to design a trophy for the Enginuity Skills Awards, reflecting the spirit of modern engineering. The winning designs were presented to award winners on 3 July 2025.
Project outputs
